Daisy is the international standard for digital talking books sued by the blind and those with other print disabilities including but not limited to dyslexia for example.
One of the advantages that ePub3 has as a format is that it can be transformed into Daisy format which carries the audio recordings of the text with it.
Daisy formatted talking books are read on hardware player designed for the format. The National Library Service or the Library of Congress provides such a player to those who qualify for the service. Public libraries cans assist in getting set up on the NLS program which is free.
